Now, of course, I know exactly what I should have said to her. It would have been a long speech, though, far too long for me to have delivered it properly. The ideas I come up with are never very practical.
Oh, well. It would have started “Once upon a time” and ended “A sad story, don’t you think?”
Sometimes, moms are a bad idea. :(
Mom: I returned the boots and they gave me a giftcard. Why did they give me a gift card?
Me: I don't know. Why did you accept a gift card?
Mom: Because that's what they gave me.
Me: Mommmm. Why didn't you ask them why they were giving you a gift card if you had the receipt??
Mom: I don't know. It's what they gave me.
Me: SIGH.
